In July 2007, ABR Telecom was chosen by the telecom providers of fixed and mobile services to be the Administrative Entity of Number Portability in Brazil.

As the Administrative Entity, ABR Telecom performs the complete management of the portability process, ensuring, along with telecom providers, the availability of this service for all users of fixed and mobile lines.

Among the main responsibilities of the Administrative Entity are:

• To make available the technological solution that enables portability with the development and implementation of the National Reference Database of Numbers Held;

• To guarantee the operation and the update of the National Reference Database of Numbers Held;

• To interact with Anatel, contractors and providers, guaranteeing the transparency of the process and the due access to data related to portability.

• To carry out concessions and to manage the access of providers to the database.
